Welcome to the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, established in 1997 to bring together world leaders in the study of traumatology for the purpose of establishing and maintaining professionalism and high standards for this new field. Alert Status

Post Deployment Status for Minot

We are no longer deployed to Minot, North Dakota. We are currently finishing up the paperwork involved with the deployment. A final status report will be completed and processed through the system.

Standby Status for Japan

Green Cross is currently in standby status for deployment to Japan following the earthquake and tsunami of March 11th, 2011.  We will be emailing active all members to find out their deployment availability.  We will also be posting status updates on the website. If you would like to lend assistance, especially if you are a speaker of the Japanese Language, please contact us.

General Membership

Green Cross Academy of Traumatology (GCAT) is an international, humanitarian assistance organization, non-profit corporation comprised of trained traumatologists and compassion fatigue service providers.

Most of our members are licensed mental health professionals--all are oriented to helping people in crisis following traumatic events.

If you are interested in joining GCAT, please fill out the PDF form and submit it along with the $95 annual fee. If you have taken a COCA certified course within the last 30 days, you can join for $25 by submitting a copy of your training certificate along with the General Membership form.

NEW Drill and Trainings!

Green Cross has several exciting upcoming events. We are fortunate to bring Dr. Dan Casey back to the Northwest this summer to provide our most requested trainings. AND we have been asked to participate in a very specific role with the Washington State Citizens Corps Council ‘s Citizens Corps EXPO this year. It’s a ground breaking partnership and opportunity and we would love to have you participate in!

Donations

The GREEN CROSS ACADEMY OF TRAUMATOLOGY is in the process of mobilizing resources and personnel to assist with the relief effort for the island nation of Japan, following the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and resulting tsunami that hit on March 11th, 2011.

The GCAT is accepting monetary donations to assist in the effort via online donations, 1-888-498-4495 and postal mail at: GCAT, BOX 352 Becker, MN 55308.
