I reported on site to the Salvation Army Deployment Headquarters, St. Anne’s Catholic Church,
Ed Wilson and Steve Carbno, IC and Asst IC were on hand.
I immediately met with a group of Mental Health professionals from Catholic Charities, Red Cross, and other entities, discussing the plans and role Green Cross will play in those plans. I explained why were on site and what services we plan to provide.
Ed Wilson, Steve Carbno and I met, laying our what had been done what needs be done, and who would be doing what. Steve and I spent 1 ½ hours touring the tornado site and meeting with the workers.
Steve C and I attended a town meeting, which addressed what had been accomplished, so far, and the immediate plans for the future. I met the Mayor and other city and county officials.
I was asked by the Mayor, Sheriff Carr asked me to check in with him, and Police Chief Uselman asked if I might have the “brown room” in the city hall manned next week.
Steve was informed that SA would be receiving a check for $25 M for their outstanding work here.
